pubmed-article:3127702 | pubmed:abstractText | A range of 5 chemical mutagens were tested in the Drosophila wing test using 2 different strains and carrying out the experiments in parallel under standardised conditions. The mutagens chosen for the study were the 2 alkylating agents MMS and ENU and the anti-cancer drugs methotrexate, cytosine-arabinoside and adriamycin. As a result of the different genetic backgrounds there was a marked variation in the response of the 2 strains to the mutagens. | lld:pubmed |
