The new transcystic drain described is provided with 3 wings which ensure that it remains in the common bile duct even after the ligature is absorbed, with a series of bosses which ensure good adherence to the skin and avoid all traction on the intraluminal end of the drain, and with a bile collection system which prevents contamination at counter-current.
