Senior citizens' sports, as shown clearly in written questionnaires of 101 senior gymnasts, both male and female, in the canton of Bern (Switzerland), prove to be definitely multifunctional. Indeed, at the least the triad of physical, psychological and social functions must be taken into account; accordingly, subjects gain three things from sports: agility, well-being and social activity.
