The abscess was surgically drained. It contained numerous Eikenella corrodens bacilli. Fibroscopy of pharyngo-laryngeal region showed that the left pyriform sinus was abnormal. Surgical removal of a fistula of the fourth branchial pouch was performed in order to prevent recurrence of the thyroiditis. | lld:pubmed |
