Authors pointed on etiologic connections between particular clinical syndroms in AIDS and microbial, parasitic and viral agents belonging to different taxonomic groups. Participation of viruses in etiologic, immunology, pathology and importance for chemotherapy pointing on proved and probable relations, were analysed. Valuable observations related with etiologic and opportunistic viral mechanisms of coinfections were mentioned, as well as main diagnostic aspects.
