Regulations on the use of laboratory animals are being in process, with regard to the very different aspects of animal experimentation. The generalization of feelings of respect for animals is highly positive. Research workers should apply themselves to avoiding this progress in human behavior to be associated with the development of "anti-science" reactions, leading to guilty feelings about the mainspring of their activity.
