Platelets undergoing anoxia-reoxygenation (AR) simultaneously increase reactive oxygen species (ROS) and thromboxane (Tx) B(2). Our aim was to assess whether there is an interplay between activation of NOX2, the catalytic subunit of NADPH oxidase, and platelet TxB(2) in vitro and in vivo.
