Pleural tuberculosis (TB) is a diagnostic challenge because of its non-specific clinical presentation and paucibacillary nature. Conventional diagnosis methods have limitations. We evaluated the real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR), interferon-gamma (IFN-?), adenosine deaminase (ADA), and immunoglobulin A (IgA).
