Platelet isoprostane 8-ISO-prostaglandin F2? (8-iso-PGF2?), a proaggregating molecule, is believed to derive from nonenzymatic oxidation of arachidonic acid. We hypothesized that NADPH is implicated in isoprostane formation and platelet activation.
