Damage of the auriculo-temporal nerve with consecutive Frey's syndrome (gustatory sweating) can occur with fractures of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) as a result of the anatomic proximity. A case of marked gustatory sweating as a rare complication of a mandibular joint fracture and alternation of therapy are reported.
