Mice with Fgfr2 conditional deletion in metanephric mesenchyma (Fgfr2(Mes-/-)) have ureteral bud induction abnormalities. We determined whether Fgfr2(Mes-/-) mutants developed abnormally positioned ureters predisposing to vesicoureteral reflux.
