Abnormalities of BDNF have been implicated in the pathophysiology of depression based on observations that antidepressant drugs cause increases in the levels of BDNF in rat brains and its abnormalities have appeared in the serum of depressed patients and in postmortem brains of suicide victims. | lld:pubmed |
