Malnutrition is a prominent feature of tuberculosis. Little is known about the role of the appetite-related hormones, ghrelin and leptin, in malnutrition in tuberculosis. This study was undertaken to determine whether ghrelin and leptin contribute to malnutrition in active pulmonary tuberculosis.
