This technique allows the distal anastomosis of the arterialized in situ vein to be performed without kinking. We have found it to be most useful when placing the distal portion of the mobilized segment of in situ vein into a deeply located infragenicular popliteal segment. We use this technique whenever a suitably located branch point is present.
