Evidence suggests the potential to improve motor status in patients with stroke by modifying brain catecholaminergic tone. The current study hypothesized that increased dopaminergic tone via the dopamine agonist ropinirole, when combined with physiotherapy (PT), would significantly and safely increase gait velocity.
