Chronic traumatic aneurysms of the thoracic aorta are dilatations resulting from a rupture of isthmus unknown at the time of the trauma. They are observed inn youngs and require a prompt surgical repair as soon as diagnostic is know. Direct suture of the aorta is possible without prosthetic graft. Perioperative mortality is very low and long-term prognosis is good.
