Thiopurine S-methyltransferase (TPMT) genetic polymorphisms have been studied intensively in relation to thiopurine toxicity. In the present study, an improved pyrosequencing method was developed for TPMT genotyping and used to investigate the genotype frequency in Korean and Vietnamese populations.
