Nowadays, tobacco smoking is the single most preventable cause of death all over the word. Now it kills annually more than five million people and this number will increase to over 8 million by 2030. The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of smoking and risk factors for smoking in the adult population of the Lód? district.
