Several case series have shown that reconstruction of the anterior or posterior periprostatic tissues facilitates early return of urinary continence after radical prostatectomy. We conducted a randomized clinical trial comparing early continence rates in patients undergoing urethrovesical anastomosis with or without periprostatic reconstruction.
