The soluble ribonucleic acid (sRNA) methylase activity and the histology of several transplantable mouse hepatomas were examined. Three hepatomas (H-1, H-4, and H-6) were relatively fast growing. H-1 and H-6 hepatomas had higher sRNA methylase activity, H-4 had amounts of activity similar to those of liver, and H-3 hepatoma had variable amounts. sRNA methylase activity did not seem to be correlated with rate of growth but may have been associated with the state of differentiation.
