Vasculopathy is one of the hallmarks of systemic sclerosis (SSc), characterized by endothelial activation and over expression of adhesion molecules. A preliminary in vitro study has suggested that aminaftone, a naphtohydrochinone used in the treatment of capillary disorders, may downregulate the expression of adhesion molecules in endothelial cells.
