Captive bolt guns for small animals could be used for killing rabbits quickly with little alterations of tissue caused by agony. The application is acceptable for animal welfare if the captive bolt gun is placed on the head between the base of the ears and the rabbit is bled dry by cutting a large artery immediately after the shooting.
