Cardiac sarcoidosis is frequently overlooked or misdiagnosed as idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), primarily because of difficulties in its diagnosis. This is a crucial issue because appropriate therapy with immunosuppressive agents can be initiated if early diagnosis is achieved.
