Brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) level has been shown to increase in patients with chronic atrial fibrillation (CAF) without overt heart failure (HF). Although atrial electrical remodeling associated with CAF has been described, little is known about the effects of the BNP level on the electrophysiological properties in CAF patients.
