Hyperhomocysteinemia has been found in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma. The purpose of the present study was to determine if hyperhomocysteinemia-associated polymorphisms of the methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase gene (MTHFR) are overrepresented in primary open-angle glaucoma.
