It is useful to decide whether lymphatic involvement or lymph node metastasis exists before polypectomy or operation in submucosal colorectal cancer. Whether vascular endothelial growth factor-C (VEGF-C) or VEGF-D could predict lymph node metastasis and lymphatic involvement is uncertain.
