Conventional surgical treatment of complex aortic pathologies involving several thoracoabdominal aortic segments necessitates extended incisions or subsequent surgeries, resulting in significant mortality and morbidity rates. The combination of surgery and simultaneous stenting in the operating theater may reduce the surgical trauma.
