Isolated tumor cells (ITCs) in lymph nodes are defined histologically as node-negative. The clinical impact of ITCs in sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) remains unclear. We report the prognosis of breast cancer patients with ITC-positive SLNs detected by immunohistochemical staining.
