Plasmic pro-thrombotic factors as well as pro-thrombotic platelet glycoprotein mutations have been shown to play an important role in the mechanism of the thrombo-embolic disease. However, there is no published study evaluating the role of above mentioned genetic factors in the thrombo-embolic episodes in women in childbirth.
