pubmed:abstractText	The purpose of this report is to describe two cases involving a 43-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman who underwent laparoscopic surgery for dolichocolon causing severe constipation. In both cases the procedure consisted of left colectomy with colorectal anastomosis. There was no operative mortality or morbidity. The outcome on constipation was good. This study demonstrates the utility of laparoscopy for treatment of dolichocolon in carefully selected patents.
