The use of erythropoietin in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) has been associated with poor survival. This study examines the protein and mRNA expression of erythropoietin and erythropoietin receptor in HNSCC and their relation to hypoxia, hemoglobin (Hb), and clinical outcome.
