Vasopressin is an alternative drug to adrenaline in intractable ventricular fibrillation. However, vasopressin can cause significant bradycardia, resulting in reduced cardiac output. We investigated whether pre-treatment with atropine abrogates vasopressin-induced bradycardia in a beating-heart canine model.
