Spontaneous EEG, mid-latency auditory evoked potentials (AEP) and somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEP) have been used to monitor anaesthesia. This poses the question as to whether or not EEG, AEP and SSEP vary in parallel with varying conditions during surgical anaesthesia.
