Pauci-immune renal vasculitis with focal glomerular necrosis and crescent formation is usually associated with anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCAs). However, ANCA's are absent in up to 10% of cases, which constitutes a rarely studied variant of renal vasculitis.
