Trachylobane diterpenes are secondary metabolites, quite rare in nature, and their bioactivities are poorly understood. Recently, we have described the cytotoxic activity of ent-trachyloban-3beta-ol isolated from the leaves of Croton zambesicus, a plant used in African folk medicine.
