The diagnosis and management of a neonate with a genetic disorder, inherited, chromosomal, teratogenic, and developmental abnormalities, of the kidneys and urinary tract requires a team approach and many sources of information--prenatal history and fetal ultrasonography, detailed family history, clinical examination and imaging studies of baby and parents, evaluation of laboratory studies, and interpretation of pathology.
