Congenital ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction is a common developmental anomaly. To elucidate the mechanisms underlying the renal consequences of congenital UPJ obstruction, we have developed a new model of variable partial unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) in the neonatal rat.
