Endothelial cell activation (ECA) is an initiating event in atherosclerosis. Biochemical measures of ECA were evaluated in patients with erectile dysfunction (ED) associated or not associated with cardiovascular risk factors (VRFs) to assess whether ED is a sentinel of atherosclerosis.
