Nodular lymphocyte-predominance Hodgkin's disease (NLPHD) has emerged as a distinct entity. It has a precursor lesion, known as follicular hyperplasia with progressively transformed germinal centers (PTGC), and a late stage consisting of transformation to a large cell lymphoma. All cellular components of NLPHD are derived from follicles, but so far no clonal population has been identified.
