Heat stress induces a reduction of orthostatic tolerance. The cardiovascular responses, including the cardiac baroreflex response to heat stress, were examined to test the hypothesis that subjects with orthostatically low tolerance demonstrate an impaired baroreflex control of heart rate (HR) during heat stress.
