Gastrointestinal obstruction is a common complication of recurrent ovarian cancer. Proximal intestinal obstruction, at the level of the duodenum or proximal jejunum, can result from bulky intraperitoneal or retroperitoneal disease. Classic management has been palliation of symptoms with a gastrostomy or jejunostomy tube.
