Successful visualization of the extracranial circulation and posterior basilar-vertebral complex was accomplished with a modified technique for direct percutaneous infraclavicular puncture of the subclavian artery.The advantage of the described method over other methods relates to the simplicity and safety of the technique. The advantages outweigh the not serious complications which may be encountered.
