Graft extrusion is a dilemma that follows anterior cervical discectomy. We report on a case of an extrusion of a biocompatible osteoconductive polymer (BOP) graft extruded orally after anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. This case highlights the potential dangers in slipped or dislodged grafts and stresses the importance of investigation of patients whose symptoms might be attributable to graft extrusion. Furthermore, all dislodged implants should be removed to prevent further complications.
