A new triterpene compound ( 1), along with arjunolic acid, was isolated from an ethanol extract of the whole plant of Leandra chaetodon. Based on spectroscopic analysis, the structure of 1 was determined as 2alpha,6alpha- dihydroxybetulinic acid. Arjunolic acid showed inhibitory activity against Cryptococcus neoformans.
