Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) is a secreted proinflammatory lymphokine essential for elicitation of delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) reactions in vivo. We tested whether MIF blockade-absence affected acute or chronic murine cardiac allograft rejection.
