The evaluation of the serum cholinesterase activity in various experimental conditions (anesthesized dogs, operated on or not, in shock intoxicated with carbon tetrachloride) indicated various degrees of inhibition of this enzyme, peaking in imbalances that developed during shock or in the carbon tetrachloride intoxication of the animals.
