Persistent asthma symptoms are associated with airway inflammation and remodeling, which may be mediated through metalloproteinase (MMP) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase (TIMP). The aim of this study was to evaluate MMPs and TIMP involvement in toluene diisocyanate (TDI)-induced asthma.
