The prevalence of TT virus (TTV) viremia, without definite clinical significance, has been reported to be higher among chronic hepatitis C patients. The status and clinical characteristics of TT virus (TTV) infection and distribution of TTV genotypes in a hepatitis C virus (HCV) hyperendemic township (Masago community) in a hepatitis B virus (HBV) endemic country (Taiwan) were investigated.
