The author determined the parameters of the normal excretion of androgenic hormones and their metabolites (10 separate components) in urine of male and female rats, using the method of thin-layer chromatography. The results could be accepted as norms of the androgenic excretion in white nonbred rats. Eight biological important coeffieients of androgens were found in urine of normal rats. The author discussed the physiological peculiarities of the androgenic excretion in rats. The report indicates the significance of thin-layer chromatography in determining the metabolic profile of androgens in urine of a rat in view of examining the functional state of the adrenal cortex, gonads and liver under various experimental conditions.
