Primary salivary clear cell tumors comprise an uncommonly encountered subgroup of salivary neoplasia. We hypothesize that clear cell carcinoma does not represent a "monomorphic" variant of epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma, but is distinct in terms of histogenesis and tumor biology.
